Daily Announcements 3/19

Today is Thursday, March 19, 2026. It is an M Day.

Congratulations to our band and chorus students for their amazing performances last night. We’re so fortunate to have so many talented musicians performing for our community!

And thank you all for your cooperation during the fire drill. That was by far our most orderly and efficient drill so far. Great job!

If any student is hungry after their first lunch (that is FREE), remember that fruits and vegetables are unlimited, along with access to the no thank you/share bin.

Come support Life Skills at their BINGO Fundraiser on March 28 at the Newport American Legion #21.  Doors open at 9 am. Bingo starts at 11 am. There is an open snackbar with french fries, burgers, hotdogs, and soda! 50/50 Raffle!

On Saturday, the Drama Company will be participating in the One Act Festival at People’s Academy performing “Persephone” written by Ford Aimsworth.

BIG Shoutout to:

  • Lindsey Olmstead for helping create all the costumes!
  • Vivi Olmstead for helping to paint and bring the set to life!
  • Katelin Booth for helping create everyone’s make up looks!
  • Mr. Carbonneau and his crew for making an amazing set!

And a HUGE thank you to Jeremiah Melhuish for transporting the cast and crew to the festival!

Come see their production of “Persephone” @ 6pm, tickets are $5 at the door. Students, staff, family & community members are also invited to see their performance in the NCUHS auditorium on Thursday, March 26th @ 6pm, admission is by donation.

Congratulations to Dylan Carr for receiving a book award from Endicott College for exhibiting academic achievement and engaging citizenship.

Attention seniors:  Check your email and vote now for your teacher graduation speaker. The nominees are Brian Arant, Pam Wade, and Bobby Walls-Thumma. Voting is open until the end of the day on Friday and the speaker will be announced next week.

Have a great day, be kind to one another, and engage in your work.
