Daily Announcements 2/4

Good Morning Falcons!

Today is Wednesday, February 4, 2026.  It is an M Day.

Today Black History Artists  are The Staple Singers who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2018. They were also honored with a marker on the Mississippi Blues Trail in Drew, Mississippi. In 2005, the group was awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Just a reminder that it’s Vermont School Counseling Week! All of our counselors would love to hear how you all went to all of your classes and did all of your work for them this week!

Join us for Norah Beads this week! We will be gathering today during flex block in room 411. Sign up in SecurlyFlex under Ms. Caspari!

Attention all Pet Owners: We have started to collect pictures of our beloved furry friends and would love to fill the board with them. Please include your pet's name, and any fun facts about them. Send pics to rachel.martin@ncsuvt.org and we'll put them on the board!

Today in Sports:

It was a packed house last night for the Boys Basketball games against Lake Region and the games did not disappoint.  JV won 47-45 on a buzzer beater shot by Preston Humphrey.  The Varsity game was back and forth all night but at the end the Falcons pulled away and captured the victory 51-46. Congratulations on the great wins and a huge shout out to the student section who brought the energy and did so with class!

On the mountain, our snowboard team had another strong showing.  On the girls side, Dakotah Bowen placed 5th in both GS and Rail Jam and Willow Clements took 9th in GS. The boys top 10 results included Logan Ellis 2nd in GS and Rail Jam, Quinn Goff 3rd in GS and 6th in Rail Jam, and Remy Degeorge 7th in GS.

Tonight both hockey teams Pink the Rink at Jay Peak as the Blades face off against U-32 and the boys take on Burlington.  Girls basketball also hosts Thetford on Clifford Court.

Have a great day, be kind to one another, and engage in your work.
